Dear Porirua City Council
I am writing to you under the Official Information Act (1982) (OIA) and Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act (1987) (LGOIMA) as a citizen of New Zealand to request:
1. Whether the Porirua City Council hire a private parking enforcement company, if not what Council department manages parking enforcement
2. How many parking wardens PCC employ.
3. The salaries and salary bands of all staff who are involved in parking enforcement. This includes parking wardens and PCC office staff who manage/assist in parking enforcement.
4. The length of service of PCC parking warden officer: 451. Their specific salary. The total number of infringement notices they have given over their length of service.
5. The revenue for the PCC in parking infringements for the last three (3) years, broken down into subcategories in a searchable format. (e.g displayed in table)
6. The sum expenses of the council by the parking team to patrol Porirua Car Parks for the last three (3) years, broken down into subcategories in a searchable format (e.g displayed in table)
7. The sum expenses of the council for the parking meters around Porirua city (Initial purchase and maintenance costs) in a searchable format. (e.g displayed in table)
8. The fees-structure for all PCC parking infringements.
9. A list of all equipment used by PCC parking wardens to monitor vehicles in Porirua Car Parks.
10. The evidence PCC holds for a parking infringement notice (e.g photo, time-logs).
If this differs for each type of parking infringement, the evidence PCC holds for each type of parking ticket.
11. What specific information (e.g Registration, Meter / Park #) does a parking infringement notice require according to PCC parking enforcement policies.
12. Can the “Meter / Park #:” section of a PCC parking infringement be left blank and remain enforceable according to PCC parking enforcement policies.
13. What does ‘Dist from Sign’ mean on a PCC parking infringement and how is this measured (units used e.g cm or m, and measuring device used)
14. Why the recipient of a PCC parking infringement notice is not entitled to make oral submissions to the court.
15. PCC parking enforcement policies / standard operating procedures
