I refer to your request of 17 June 2022. The requested document is
attached. Detailed cost breakdown information has been redacted from the
document under section 9(2)(j) of the OIA, to avoid prejudice to future
negotiations with contractors in relation to construction work. Further,
if this part of your request had not been refused under section 9(2)(j),
then the University would have considered the need to withhold that
information to avoid prejudicing the commercial positions of our
contractors (by revealing to their competitors and potential future
clients how much they charged the University for particular work) and the
need to protect information subject to an obligation of confidence.
