Dear BUS: Assurance,

I reiterate my stance as per my original request. You people are destroying the city and do not care one iota about the people and businesses you destroy.
WCC is lucky that it levies rates against property owners rather than tenants. Because if they levied rates to businesses the rates take over the last few years would be a lot lower than what it was as WCC put hardworking people out of business. All for some utopia / idealogy thinking we are some European city. Wellington has the highest commercial rates for a small geographic area, rates continue to go up, the city isn't safe, the fun police have destroyed it, traffic is rubbish, a consultancy group paid $30 plus million have come up with a pedestrian crossing, the city stinks because of underinvestment in infrastructure and the only reason the city is still alive no thanks to council is that it is propped up by overpaid public servants in central government who are as useless as the council itself. As per my initial request, at least be honest and next "consultation" on a cycleway you might as well send out businesses a letter and say "your business is next, see you later". Just say you are anti business and hate the ratepayer and people could relocate accordingly. Why not just say that so that the entrepreneur's can pack up and take their initiative elsewhere rather than have their lives destroyed by a bankrupt council bereft of ideas intent on destroying what people before them have built. Wellington City will be the next San Fran with criminals having more rights that citizens, rubbish in the streets and smelling like the mess the council have turned it into.

Yours sincerely,

Chuck Schooner
