Ukranian Embassy

The request was successful.

Dear Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade,
I read in the Newspapers that the New Zealand Government requested the Russian Ambassador come along and hear what the New Zealand Government had to say about various things happening in the region.
I am wondering when the New Zealand Government requested the Ukranian Ambassador come along and tell the New Zealand Government about various things happening in the region.
Can I have a copy of the transcript of what the Ukranian Ambassador had to say to the NZ Government?
Kelly Roe.

Dear Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade,
Since we don't have a Ukranian Embassy in New Zealand I am confused as to how New Zealand acknowledged Ukrane as an independent Country.
Perhaps you can explain it to me (a member of the NZ public) in a timely fashion.
So I can understand why on earth it is that the UN (or any other party) could possibly condone NZ acting independently from the UN when it fails (over and over) to simply follow along (when it comes to reading comprehension) with much of what is happening in much of the rest of the world.
Yours faithfully,
K Roe

Thank you for your email of 24 February 2022.
Ukraine is accredited to New Zealand via its Embassy in Singapore.
Contact details are available on the [1]Ministry’s website.
It is not unusual for diplomatic missions to be accredited to New Zealand
from offshore. There are 50 resident missions in Wellington; while a
further 99 offices are accredited from offshore, including 58 accredited
from Canberra.

Dear ESD,
I think I understand.
We do as we are instructed when it comes to providing sanctions and support etc in part because NZ does not have intelligence including Ambassadors either from or to Ukrane.
The sanctions seem to largely disadvantage NZ.
Perhaps they should call us 'The State of New Manus Island'
Yours sincerely,
K Roe

Tçnâ koe Kelly Roe,
I am writing concerning your OIA request below. This email is to advise
that we will need to extend the time limit for responding to you by 6
working days, to 1 April 2022. This is because consultations necessary to
make a decision on your request are such that a proper response cannot
reasonably be made within the original time frame (section 15A(1)(a) of
the OIA refers)
However, if this process is completed before 1 April 2022, the response
will be sent to you as soon as possible.
Please also be advised that the organisational impacts of implementing the
COVID-19 Protection Framework, together with the Ministry’s leadership of
the Government's response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, mean that we
may have reduced capacity to process OIA requests. We will do our best to
make decisions on your OIA request as soon as practicably possible, and to
keep you informed of progress if there are likely to be delays.
For your information, the Chief Ombudsman has published updated guidance
on OIA requests during this time:
•Chief Ombudsman's statement on official information response times during
implementation of the COVID-19 Protection Framework
•FAQs about official information requests during COVID-19
