Ukraine is accredited to New Zealand via its Embassy in Singapore.

It is not unusual for diplomatic missions to be accredited to New Zealand
from offshore.  There are 50 resident missions in Wellington; while a
further 99 offices are accredited from offshore, including 58 accredited
from Canberra.

Since we don't have a Ukranian Embassy in New Zealand I am confused as to
how New Zealand acknowledged Ukraine as an independent Country.

 

Perhaps you can explain it to me (a member of the NZ public) in a timely
fashion.

 

So I can understand why on earth it is that the UN (or any other party)
could possibly condone NZ acting independently from the UN when it fails
(over and over) to simply follow along (when it comes to reading
comprehension) with much of what is happening in much of the rest of the
world.
