Medical response

Mike Hunua made this Official Information request to Fire and Emergency New Zealand

The request was successful.

From: Mike Hunua

Dear Fire and Emergency New Zealand,

-Could you provide a list of fire brigades that are "first response" brigades for medical emergencies

-Could you define the difference between co-response and first response fire brigades and the training they receive?

-Are all rural fire brigades medical responders?

-Could you also release any operational, training material, guides or manuals for FENZ medical responses, please?

-Does FENZ have any future plans for additional or more advanced medical training for frontline fire staff and volunteers.

Yours faithfully,

Mike Hunua

Dear Robinson, Louise,

Thank you for this comprehensive response although question 1 of the OIA request has not been answered as Schedule F in both the St John and Wellington Free Ambulance MOUs with Fire and Emergency has not released the current list of First Response brigades under the MOUs, the document's just refer to looking up via the "intranet".

Yours sincerely,

Mike Hunua
