request - Drug & alcohol pathology/testing at Waikato District Council -
ADM0585/21

 

 1. Does the organisation carry out drugs and alcohol testing (among
employees or other persons)?
2. If drug and alcohol testing does take place at the organisation:
a. Who currently provides the testing service i.e., name of the
service provider(s)?
b. For each (named) service provider:
i. What is the nature of the drug & alcohol testing service delivered
e.g., saliva, urine, breath and alcohol and synthetic cannabinoids?
ii. In what geographic location(s) is the service delivered?
iii. Is the service provided under contract? If yes:
1. How many contracts does the provider have with your organisation?
2. What is the term of that/those contract(s)?
3. What is the dollar value of that/those contract(s)?
4. Are there options for renewing that/those contract(s)?
c. What organisation(s)/company(ies) previously conducted drug and
alcohol testing for your organisation (repeat all of ‘b’ for previous
service providers)?

 1. Yes. We carry out drug and alcohol testing for pre-employment,
post-incident and reasonable cause for all employees.

 

2a. WOHC Ltd (for pre-employment), TDDA (for post-incident or
TDDA (for post-incident or reasonable reasonable cause testing)
cause testing)

 
2bi. Urine test for drug testing, Urine testing for drugs including
breath test for alcohol testing. synthetic cannabinoids, breath
testing for alcohol  
 
2bii. 11 Pukete Road, St Andrews, Elucid Ave, Te Rapa, Hamilton, 3200

that can travel throughout the
  Waikato district as required.

 1. We have a contract with WOHC but not sure about TDDA. 
 2. The current contract with WOHC was extended for another year due to
COVID.  It is a WLASS contract that was negotiated for three years.
 3. The service is as-is and when required and no total value.  Not sure
of the dollar value concerning pre-employment testing.  Post-incident
is $115 per test and we have done in the last financial year. 
 4. Yes
