Wilton Road safety concerns

Alastair Reith made this Official Information request to Wellington City Council

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Alastair Reith to read recent responses and update the status.

From: Alastair Reith

Dear Wellington City Council,

Please let me know how many times you have been contacted in the past ten years regarding safety concerns about Wilton Road - speeding, lack of visibility, crashes, requests for speed bumps or other traffic calming measures.

Please let me know what steps were taken to address the issue, and if requests for things like speed bumps or mirrors were turned down, please let me know why they were turned down.

If you can share the actual correspondence you received about safety on Wilton Road with me, please do so.

I was crashed into today while turning into my driveway, and it convinced me beyond all doubt that this road is unsafe and steps must be taken to improve it. Collating this information will be helpful with this.

Yours faithfully,

Alastair Reith
