How many companies were shortlisted for the State Highway 20 Waterview Tunnel camera tender / Bid /Contract. Who ultimately made the decision to proceed with the selected company?

Blazae made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police

The request was successful.

From: Blazae

Dear New Zealand Police,

How many companies were shortlisted for the State Highway 20 Waterview Tunnel camera tender / Bid /Contract. Who ultimately made the decision to proceed with the selected company?

How much involvement did The Honorable Stuart Nash MP have in the selection and finalization of the winning Tender/ bidder?

Please define the process i.e. was the tender open to the public listed on the govt tender’s website or was it privately solicited or?

Was the process formally vetted and was there a complete company background check completed on all parties involved in the bidding process?

Did the NZ police or Auckland transport have prior knowledge that both senior members of staff from Redflex had been jailed for embezzling money, taking bribes and fudging the calibrations on their cameras for personal gain and also at the request of senior government officials in many country’s / states, around the world?

Yours faithfully,

Blazae
