Dear Mr Walker

 

On behalf of the Commissioner, I acknowledge your request of 16 September
2016. Apologies for the delay in acknowledging your request. You asked for
information about Police’s “speed measuring device – REDFLEX radarcam
NZTMR serial number 149, Computer Model serial Number 127, Camera Model
serial number 184 can you please provide the last 3 years’ operational
history (including annual testing, servicing, certificates of accuracy,
calibration test reports, identified faults.)”. You also asked for copies
of the user manuals and operator instructions for the deployment and use
of the REDFLEX radarcam mobile speed camera measuring device that is used
in New Zealand.

 

Further to this, pursuant to section 15A of the Official Information Act
1982, I have also been asked to advise you of the requirement to extend
the time limits to respond to your requests. The period of the extension
is until 14 November 2016.

 

The reason for the extension is that the time required to research and
collate the requested information and the consultations necessary to make
a decision on the request are such that a proper response cannot
reasonably be made within the original time limit.

 

You have the right, under section 28(3) of the Official Information Act
1982, to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review my decision to extend
the time limit for deciding upon your request.
