of 24 September 2020 to Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency
requesting the following information under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):
How many companies were shortlisted for the State Highway 20 Waterview Tunnel
camera tender/bid/contract. Who ultimately made the decision to proceed with the
selected company?
Please define the process i.e. was the tender open to the public l isted on the govt
tender’s website or was it privately solicited or?
Was the process formally vetted and was there a complete company background check
completed on all parties involved in the bidding process?
This letter is to inform you that I am extending the timeframe in which to make a decision on
your request by 7 working days as is allowed for under section 15A of the Act. That
extension is required in order to compile the information you have requested and to
undertake consultations necessary to make a decision on your request. Waka Kotahi will
provide a response to your request on or before 3 November 2020.
