Good afternoon Thomas

I refer to your below request pursuant to the Official Information Act
1982 to Hon Julie-Anne Genter, Associate Minister of Transport, on 6
November 2019.

This email is to notify you that we are extending the 20 working days
available to respond to your request, pursuant to section 15A of the
Official Information Act.

We require up to an additional 10 working days to respond to your request.
Therefore you can expect to receive a response by 18 December 2019.

The reasons for the extension are that:

·         consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are
such that a proper response to the request cannot reasonably be made
within the original 20 working-day limit.

·         the request is for a large quantity of official information and
meeting the original time limit would unreasonably interfere with the
operations of the Office of the Associate Minister of Transport, the
Ministry of Transport, and the NZ Transport Agency.

You have the right under section 28(3) of the Official Information Act to
make a complaint about the extension to the Ombudsman.

Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

Ngā mihi
