We apologise for the delay

We are assessing how this statistical information can be collated and
provided to you given that accessibility features are not recorded as a

Dear Phil Hilleard,
my request has 5 parts.
3 of these (a), d) & e) do not require collation or research, b) must be an easily definable subset of all building consents, c) will be a condition of the consents under b)
Are building consents available in digitised form to the public?

Yours sincerely,

Tony Bach

Dear Mr Hilleard,

do you have a timeframe for a response to my email to Adrian Humphries, dated 5 March and quoted below

"I appreciate your response, however I don't see my questions as having been fully addressed.

a. I understand that NZS 4142:2001 became applicable in 2001 and that TDC has enforced this standard since its implementation
b. My request was not for the number of inspections, but for the number of approvals (= consents) for tourist accommodation since that date. I can't imagine that TDC's database is not structured in a such a way that a simple SQL search on the category assigned for tourist accommodation with a date range of "2001-2013" would not return a result.
c. I understand from your statement that few - if any - exemptions for providing mobility access for tourist accommodation have been granted since implementation of NZS 4142:2001.
d. Perhaps my question was ambiguous, although given the reference to NZS 4142:2001, I would have thought it obvious that I was referring to properties approved since 2001.
Let me rephrase it:
an assurance that all remaining properties approved since implementation of NZS 4142:2001currently provide mobility access
Given your previous statement under c), I assume that the answer is "yes"
e. My question was not limited to buildings required to provide a WoF certificate, but rather to all properties i.e. hotels, motels, home-stays, self-catering properties et al.
From your response, I assume that your inspection regime is limited to audits of WoF holders at 10% p.a.. Please correct me if I've misinterpreted this."

Thanks

Tony Bach

Dear Phil Hilleard,

It is now almost 3 weeks since my mail to Adrian Humphries, pointing out that my questions had not been addressed fully and requesting clarification and a week since asking you for a timeframe within which I could expect a response.

The OIA platform has flagged my request with "Long overdue" status. I agree.

Yours sincerely,

Tony Bach

Dear Phil Hilleard,

TDC has ignored 3 clear requests for clarification and information since 4 March.
I have now lodged a complaint with the office of the Ombudsman, requesting that they instruct TDC to comply with the law.
