Dear Tasman District Council,

The proposed Tahimana 141 dwelling subdivision has been formally been objected to in writing by numerous residents who are aware of this resource consent application.

To date there has been no substantial response. There is clearly a high level of interest and opposition by local residents and recreational users of the area to this proposal who are aware of this proposal.

Please provide the TDC communications between those who have contacted you regarding this proposed subdivision stating if they are for, against and neutral and whether local community or not. Please define whether these communications are from the subdivider or their sub-contractors:

1. email communications
2. document communications
3. meeting notes

TDC Significance and Engagement Policy 2023 states:
PURPOSE The purpose of this policy (in accordance with section 76AA(2) in the (LGA)) is:
• to enable the local authority and its communities to identify the degree of significance attached to particular issues, proposals, assets, decisions, and activities;

and regarding determining significance of a decision.

• Is there, likely to be, or has there been: a high level of community interest in a proposal or decision; or controversy in the context of the impact or consequence of the change; or o an impact on the social, economic, environmental or cultural well-being of the community in the present or for the future; or o a specific area affected (e.g. geographic area, or area of a community by interest, age or activity); or o an impact or consequence relating to the duration of the effect arising from a proposal, decision or activity. 3 • Will the decision substantially impact on the District’s ability to mitigate or adapt to climate change. • Will the decision substantially affect Council debt, rates on residents or the financial figures in any one year or more of the Long Term Plan (LTP).
