I see that the Central Interceptor project has been awarded by Watercare Services. Can you provide the final recommendation letter and any minutes or memo's to the board to proceed to award.

Can you also provide the final winning tender price as well as the other bidders prices that were submitted.

With reference to your email of 6 March 2019 to Auckland Council which was
passed on to Watercare for response.

 

The contract price accepted by Watercare for the Central Interceptor
Project Main Works Contract was $750,576,981 excluding GST.

 

The other tender prices received by Watercare from respondents were as
follows:

 

·        $798,088,000 (excluding GST)

·        $814,427,979 (excluding GST)

·        $1,056,072,546 (excluding GST)

 

Further in case it is of interest, attached is an independent probity
report dated 27 November 2018 from Deloitte to Raveen Jaduram, Chief
Executive Officer of Watercare Services Limited which records Deloitte’s
observations as probity auditor engaged to oversee the Central Interceptor
Main Works procurement.

 

We trust this satisfies your original request and subsequent complaint to
the Ombudsman.
