Communications and OIAs regarding the Births, Deaths and Marriages Act
C Montague made this Official Information request to Tracey Martin
The request was partially successful.
From: C Montague
Tēnā koe Hon Tracey Martin,
I recently received an OIA response from your office, however I'd like to ask for the information to be sent through again because I am now using the website FYI.org.nz for OIA requests.
Could you please reply to this Official Information Act request with a copy of your response (and attachments) to the OIA request I made of your office on 29 November 2018?
This was the response that revealed your office had no meetings with:
- LGBTQI groups, Intersex groups or representatives,
- lesbian specific groups,
- iwi or māori specific groups to discuss the BDMRR act/bill between 1 November 2017 and 1 November 2018.
In addition to a copy of that OIA, could your office please send through copies of all emails you have had regarding the BDMRRA or Bill from 1 December 2018 to Feb 29 2019? I am particularly interested in emails to and from Crown Law, the Human Rights Commission and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Yours faithfully,
Charlie

Dear correspondent
On behalf of Hon Tracey Martin, thank you for your email.
While the Minister considers all correspondence to be important and all
messages are carefully read and considered, it is not possible to provide
a personal response to every email which is received.
Where the Minister has portfolio responsibility for the issues that you
have raised, your correspondence will be considered and responded to where
appropriate.
Thank you for taking the time to write.
Regards
Office of Hon Tracey Martin

Hi Charlie,
you may be interested that I found this and another FYI request of yours by searching for TERF. The term itself does not appear on the documents as far as I can see so it seems to have been entered as a keyword or metadata.
FYI.org is hosted (as I understand it) on NZME (i.e. NZH) webservers.
Regards
Richard
