Dear Duncan,

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

Thanks your Official Information Act request dated 2 February 2019 in
which you requested the following:

1.        What percentage of Domestic Violence callouts in Southern Police
District over the years 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 resulted in charges being
laid?

2.        What percentage of Domestic Violence callouts in Southern Police

District over the years 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 for situations where males

We have defined Domestic Violence callouts as those reported
victimisations for 'Crimes Against the Person' where the 'Relationship of
the Offender to Victim (ROV)' is family or
ex-partner/boyfriend/girlfriend.

Crimes Against the Person are offences under the following categories of
the Australia and New Zealand Standard Offence Classification (ANZSOC)
division:

1.        Acts Intended to Cause Injury

2.        Sexual Assault and Related Offences

3.        Abduction and Kidnapping

4.        Robbery, Extortion and Related Offences

The attached tables show the number of victimisations for 'Crimes Against
the Person' where the 'Relationship of the Offender to Victim (ROV)' is
family or ex-partner/boyfriend/girlfriend within the Southern Police
District for the years 2015 to 2018 as follows:

·          by Outcome of Investigation

·          by Gender of Victim

·          by Outcome of Investigation for Male Victims

I trust this information is sufficient for your purposes. If you have any
questions regarding this data, please feel free to contact me via
