Dear New Zealand Police,
Thank you for providing me with copies of;
a) VVS User Guide Version 2.1 Redacted.pdf
and
b) VVS Aide Memoire v1.2.pdf
However, the abovementioned information is not what I need. I am therefore clarifying my original request as explained below:-
I require the originally requested information relative to safety and welfare checks conducted by New Zealand Police Officers and carried out at private homes on (school going age) children.
I await your response.

From: M.R.M.
Dear New Zealand Police,
I have taken a good look at the Evidence Act 2006 and the Evidence Regulations 2007. The former applies to cases of domestic violence while the latter applies to video evidence collections not mobile telephone evidence collections. Neither apply to cases where NZ Police officers use their NZ Police issued mobile phones to record interviews with parents and other caregivers in relation to child safety and welfare checks carried out by NZ Police in private homes.
I trust this clarifies my request further, however, if you are still not clear what my requirements are then please let me know and I will see what I can do about explaining in greater detail.
Yours faithfully,
M.R.M.

Dear New Zealand Police,
I seemingly need to clarify that I am referring to VOICE, not video, evidence recorded using a Police issued iPhone (mobile).
The Evidence Regulations 2007 deals exclusively with VIDEO, not voice, evidence recorded using a Police issued iPhone (mobile). Accordingly the Evidence Regulations 2007 have no bearing in this information request.
As far as the Evidence Act 2006 is concerned, this legislation deals with the collection of evidence – in whatever form – for the purpose of “the just determination of proceedings.” This information request does not relate to any sort of “proceedings.” Accordingly the Evidence Act 2006 also has no bearing in this information request.
As your responses to-date do not satisfy my original or subsequent information requests, I am again clarifying that I need the following under the Official Information Act:-
1. Copies of legislation, regulation, policy, procedure, guidelines, rules, etc. which relate to and/or cover the subject of New Zealand Police Officers using New Zealand Police issued I-Phones to make VOICE RECORDINGS of formal interviews relative to safety and welfare checks on (school going age) children, and that are conducted by New Zealand Police Officers at private homes.

In particular, how the aforementioned VOICE RECORDINGS must be collected, used, disclosed, stored, and, how requesters are to be given access to such personal information.
