We refer to your request for CCTV footage dated 22 September 2018 in
relation to an incident that occurred on 21 September 2018 between 8:00pm
and 8:30pm at the corner of Fred Taylor Drive and Fernhill Drive in
Westgate.

 

At the outset, we sincerely apologise for the delayed response to your
request.

 

The Auckland Transport Operations Centre has downloaded the footage from
the CCTV camera for the time and period specified.  Please note that the
footage does not fully capture lanes from Fernhill Drive and vehicle
registration numbers are not visible.  I have attached a still to provide
further clarity.

 

 

Whilst we cannot guarantee the footage contains the information you seek
relating to the incident, it has nonetheless been saved. Please note that
Auckland Transport does not supply CCTV footage directly to members of the
public due to reasons of privacy. Available footage of a specific incident
or alleged crime will only be released to the New Zealand Police, upon
receipt of a request from them.

 

Please advise the New Zealand Police about the available footage relating
to reference number (CAS reference CAS-868290-V2V0N7), and to contact the
writer directly to arrange pick-up of the relevant footage.

 

Should you believe that we have not responded appropriately to your
request, you have the right in accordance with section 27(3) of the LGOIMA
to make a complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman to seek an
investigation and review of the decision.
