Alison Flett made this Official Information request to Christchurch City Council
The request was successful.
From: Alison Flett
Dear Christchurch City Council,
I understand that the Christchurch City Council has approved an application/or applications for partial demolition by the Roman Catholic Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Barbadoes St, related to making the building safe since the earthquakes of 2010 and 2011. More recently I believe that a Section 38 order was applied for.
I am a member of the congregation and in 2016 completed an MA at the University of Canterbury on the interior of the Cathedral, and my research is ongoing.I would appreciate copies if possible of all applications and approvals involving the council since the earthquakes.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Yours faithfully,
Alison Flett
