Current policy and updates on complaint submitted for removing smoking passenger in bus

Dear Auckland Transport,

I’ve submitted a complaint to you previously which you’ve forwarded to NZ Bus in regards to the driver not taking necessary actions to remove a passenger who was breaking the law by smoking costing half of the passenger delays and inconvenience. NZ Bus had contacted me but the outcome wasn’t satisfying and I felt that I’m disadvantaged. NZ Bus was unable to provide the outcome of this complaint and wasn’t able to explain their policy of removing passengers. I must say I’m disappointed at their response and therefore requesting any related informations on this to be released in respect to the privacy of the driver and stakeholders.

It’s required by law for you to respond in 20 working days. The case number attached for this was CAS-646167. I can assure you that I’m willing to spend more time and effort to ensure that AT and NZ Bus provides a safe environment and transport for consumers that obeys the rules.
