traffic camera footage relating to a hit and run incident involving your
vehicle at Cnr Clark St & Hetana St, New Lynn between 5.05pm – 5.15pm.

 

We are processing your request according to the provisions of the Local
Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA). In an
initial review of your request by the Auckland Transport Operations
Centre, our subject matter expert has advised we have a traffic camera at
the concerned intersection but uncertain if it was pointing in the
direction of this incident.

 

Therefore, please provide the below additional information:

·         A description of your vehicle at the scene of the incident;

·         A description of the vehicle that hit you (if possible);

·         The direction your vehicle was travelling (from and to) at the
time the incident occurred; and

·         The exact location of the incident e.g. at the middle of the
intersection? Or on Clark Street side? Etc.

 

Upon receipt of the above and any other information that may assist, our
subject matter expert will then proceed to conduct a further review of our
cameras to identify any relevant footage available in light of your
request. Please be advised your request will remain on hold from this
time, and if the information is not provided within 14 working days your
request will be closed.

Dear Noelle

 

We refer to your request for CCTV footage dated 30 October 2017 and
subsequent email containing further information in respect of an incident
involving your vehicle at the intersection of Clark Street and Hetana
Street, New Lynn between 5.05pm – 5.15pm.

 

Auckland Transport confirms that we hold no footage of this incident as
our camera was pointing in the opposite direction at the time specified
above.  Your request is therefore refused under Section 17(e) of the
LGOIMA as the footage requested does not exist. 

 

Should you believe that we have not responded appropriately to your
request, you have the right in accordance with section 27(3) of the Local
Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA) to make a
complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman to seek an investigation and
review of the decision.
