Dear Auckland Council,

I am writing to request street camera footage for an incident that
occurred on Friday 23rd August 2024 between 11:50am - 11:57am by the
traffic lights of Ellerslie-Panmure Hwy and Harris rd.

During this time, I was involved in a car accident where my vehicle, a
Black Mitsubishi Galant (PWY661) heading East of Ellerslie-Panmure Hwy was
hit by another vehicle in a Red Nissan X-Trail (KTF120) turning out of
Banks Rd onto Ellerslie-Panmure Hwy.

I am kindly requesting access to any available footage from the street
cameras in the vicinity during the mentioned timeframe. Obtaining this
footage could provide crucial evidence for resolving the matter.

Your prompt assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

We are unable to provide you with the information you asked for
On 26/08/2023 you asked for CCTV for 23 August 2024 at traffic lights
Ellerslie-Panmure Hwy via Harris Road between 11:50AM and 11:57AM.
Unfortunately, the camera was facing the opposite direction, with the
intersection of Banks Rd behind the camera view. As a result, the incident
was not captured on camera. Therefore, your request is declined under
section 17(e) of the LGOIMA, as the footage does not exist.
We understand that this isn’t the outcome you hoped for.
