Subject: Official Information request - Colour Blindness

Dear New Zealand Police,
I noticed on the New Cops website that for applicants "Colour vision shall
initially be assessed with the Ishihara Test, if an applicant fails this,
further assessment and a diagnostic colour perception test is required".
Therefore, I request the following information:
1. The name of the further tests used to diagnose colour perception if the
applicant fails the Ishihara Test; and
2. The percentage of applicants that have initially failed the Ishihara
Test over the last 3 years and then go on to pass further tests; and
3. The percentage of applicants that have initially failed the Ishihara
Test over the last 3 years and then go on to fail further tests.
As required by the Official Information Act I am a New Zealand citizen and
currently residing in New Zealand.
