Number of State Homes under repair and what's the budget to repair these homes as of today

Alf Aitcheson made this Official Information request to Kāinga Ora–Homes and Communities

Response to this request is long overdue. By law Kāinga Ora–Homes and Communities should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

From: Alf Aitcheson

Dear Housing New Zealand Corporation,

Could you please supply me with an up to date account of the number of State Homes in the Auckland Region marked for repair. The homes in particular that are un tenanted.

And what the government budget is to have these homes fixed so we can house the home-less families with kids.

Kids are sleeping in their parents cars and using public park facilities to prep their kids before school.

I've been in touch with HNZD, MSD and a few MP leaders who couldn't provide me with these figures.

We can't wait for our Leaders to partition and make promises which will take years.
We need results now.

Can you help me with this information so I can get things moving now.
Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,
Alf Aitcheson
