Jury District Maps

Nigel Jones made this Official Information request to Ministry of Justice

The request was successful.

From: Nigel Jones

Dear Ministry of Justice,

Under the Official Information Act, I would like to make the following request.

Under the Juries Act 1988 section 5 (http://www.legislation.govt.nz/act/publi...) the Justice Department assembles Jury Districts based on subsections 3 through 5.

Based on the complexity of these subsections (distance based and/or Gazette'ed boundaries), I believe that the Ministry of Justice would have and be able to provide the following information:

* Descriptions and Maps of each District and High Court Jury District
* Information on how the how the boundary is currently defined (mesh blocks, geographical features or electoral boundaries)
* And, if available to hand, the date the boundaries were last updated

I am aware of the Gazette'ed notice https://gazette.govt.nz/notice/id/2010-g... which includes some maps, but these lack detail around the edges, which, for Auckland especially, are of particular interest to me.

Yours faithfully,

Nigel Jones
