Dear Auckland Transport,

Please provide all notes and correspondence on file relating to a fine allegedly issued on 11 November 2015 for my vehicle GYB372.

The matter is currently with the Ministry of Justice - CRN: 16004303498.

I have disputed this fine on the basis of mistaken identity as I was at work in Takapuna (with my car parked in my work carpark) at the time the fine was issued. I also cannot recall having ever been to Madden Street in my life. My employer is able to provide supporting evidence that I and my car were in Takapuna at the date of issue.

I have appealed the fine. The grounds on which you have rejected my appeal are irrelevant to mistaken identity and also incorrect. For example you suggest I have part paid this fine which is incorrect - the fine was for $40 + $30 court fees = $70. That amount is still being alleged as owing.

The first I heard of this fine was when I received a letter from the Ministry of Justice sometime around March.

I am a solicitor and will be taking this matter further. Please provide the file within the timeframe stipulated in the Official Information Act. Alternatively if you would like to contact me to explain what on earth is going on here, that would be appreciated also.
