I am writing to request information under the Official Information Act 1982 regarding the attendance of Judith Collins at the Munich Security Conference on or around 11 February 2026.

I request the following information:
1. The total cost to the New Zealand Government associated with this travel;
2. A breakdown of those costs where possible (including but not limited to international flights, accommodation, meals and incidentals, conference registration fees, security, and administrative support);
3. The titles or official roles of members of the travelling party (including accompanying staff), excluding personal names where appropriate;
4. The stated purpose of the visit, including official objectives, briefing materials, and scheduled meetings.

If any part of the requested information is publicly available, please direct me to the relevant source.

Information that could potentially be in scope of part 4 of your request

we understand that information relating to this part of your request is
more closely associated with the functions of the Ministry of Defence.

 

This email is to advise you that part 4 of your request, specific to “the
stated purpose of the visit, including official objectives, briefing
materials, and scheduled meetings” has been transferred to the Ministry of
Defence under

section 14(b)(ii) of the Act.
