received on 27 November 2025. This request has been considered in
accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Official
Information and Meetings Act 1987 (the LGOIMA).
Your request

2016 to current, including:

FNDC’s response
For the information that FNDC holds in relation to the first part of your
request, that is, “All traffic count data on Aucks Road for the [period
2016 to 27 November 2025]” – please refer to the spreadsheet attached.
FNDC notes that the remaining parts of your request fall outside the scope
of the LGOIMA. This is because Northland Ferries Limited, a private
company, operates the Ōpua to Ōkiato ferry service.
Section 2 of the LGOIMA states:
“official information—
(a) means any information held by a local authority;”
The LGOIMA does not apply to Northland Ferries Limited as it is not a
local authority. Therefore, apart from the first aspect of your request,
the remainder (concerning Northland Ferries Limited ) is not an ‘official
information’ (LGOIMA) request.
You may wish to approach Northland Ferries Limited for this information -
which it may decide to supply you with – at its discretion.”
