Details of Any Plans to Update / Change Bus Stop Announcements Esmonde Road
Adam Hart made this Official Information request to Auckland Transport
The request was successful.

    Dear Auckland Transport,
What are the plans, if any, to update the on board 'next stop' announcements on the No. 82 bus where it stops at the bottom of Esmonde Road?
Currently, the last stop heading city bound is announced as "Harbourside Church" in Maori and English.
Heading towards Takapuna it is only announced in English. Is there any particular reason for the announcement in Maori not being made?
Also, and more importantly, why is the announcement still "Harbourside Church" when there hasn't been a church at the location for several years?
The Amaia of Takapuna apartment complex has been open for about 12 months on that site.
I feel the outdated (by several years) announcements could easily cause confusion for those unfamiliar with the area and more likely to rely on announcements to not miss their stop.
Are there any plans to change or update announcements on the busses?
What are the options being considered for a new 'name' for that bus stop?
Yours faithfully,
Adam Hart
