Information on fixed-site ocean temperature data (sampling < 3h) within NZ EEZ

RC made this Official Information request to Archives New Zealand Te Rua Mahara o te Kāwanatanga

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for RC to read a recent response and update the status.

From: RC

I am a Master of Science student in Marine Science. I am seeking information on whether Archives New Zealand holds any fixed-site water temperature data collected within New Zealand's Exclusive Economic Zone (NZ EEZ) from sensors such as moorings, buoys, seafloor instruments, wharf sensors or other loggers.

I would like to know:

- Sampling frequency: For any datasets you hold, what is the sampling interval (ideally less than three hours) and over what period were the data collected?
- Geographic coverage: For any datasets you hold, what are the approximate locations of the installations (e.g., specific harbour or region) and the general type of installation?

I do not require the data itself at this stage; I am simply requesting confirmation of whether such data are held and summary metadata describing the sampling frequency and geographic coverage.
