Kia ora John,

I am just emailing to confirm that MSD has transferred one aspect of your
information request to the SWRB. This is your request for information
about the business days worked by the Social Workers Disciplinary Tribunal
members.

The statutory timeframe for responding to your request ends on Tuesday 27
May 2025. We will aim to respond sooner.

Under the Social Workers Registration Act 2003, the SWRB is responsible
for providing “administrative and related services for the Tribunal”
(Section 99(1)(q)) and paying the costs of the Tribunal (Section
86(1)(a)(i)).

I note that the Social Workers Registration Amendment Act 2025 recently
changed the name of the Tribunal to the “Social Workers Disciplinary
Tribunal”.

Kia ora John,

Following on, the part of your request that asks how many days did they attend Social Workers Complaints and Disciplinary Tribunal business each year since 1st Jan 2020 is more closely aligned with the functions of the Social Workers Registration Board (SWRB).

For this reason, we have transferred this part of your request to the SWRB.

SWRB will be in touch with you in due course.
