We are just getting in touch regarding your below request. The board
meeting packs just for the year of 2024 add up to over 2000 pages of
documents, and there would be significantly more once those going back to
January 2023 are included. This is a very large amount of information for
us to process for release under the OIA and would take significant time
and resourcing for our team to complete.

 

Given this, we consider that it is very likely we would decide to refuse
your request in full under section 18(f) of the OIA, because the requested
information cannot be made available without substantial collation and
research.

 

Therefore, we are getting in touch to ask whether you would be interested
in refining your request. You could do this in one or more of a few
different ways:

 

o You could ask only for a pack, or parts of a pack from a specific
board meeting you are interested in.
o You could ask for information in the board packs relating to a
specific subject discussed at one of the board meetings.

 

If you would like to amend your request in one or more these ways, we can
assess how much information an amended request would capture, as well as
whether we are likely to still consider that it may require an 18(f)
refusal.

 

In the absence of a reply and amendment to your request, we will still
respond, but it will very likely be a full refusal. In accordance with
section 15(1AA) of the OIA, if you do reply confirming an amendment to
your request, it will be deemed to be received by Fire and Emergency on
that date, and we will write to you as soon as possible with our decision,
or notify you of an extension, within 20 working days.
