FENZ are requiring that I supply identification to them - either passport or proof of name and address. I do not wish to identify myself to FENZ re this request as I have a relative who works for FENZ and won't want to be identified.
Perhaps someone else might assist in requesting this information?

Hi Em C,

I note your reply using the same format I requested information from Fire and Emergency NZ.
FENZ are legally required to provide any official information they have regarding your request, unless it meets criteria of Section 9 of the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA).

They do not require and should not be asking for copies of any personal information pertaining to providing identification of an individual.

The New Zealand Police often request this information from requesters and do not require it. As long as you meet the eligibility criteria of Section 12 of the OIA and have stated that under your request, then this information should be provided to you.

Thanks
