Response to this request is long overdue. By law Climate Change Commission should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

Dear Climate Change Commission,
I have seen planes over the years with what seems to be 'chem'trails not contrails as I've seen them literally form clouds, and I have now been informed they use aircraft to make rain in UAE. My question is are we using this kind of weather modification in NZ,

The Ministry to Environment responded to this back in 2023:
"There is no evidence to support the occurrence of cloud seeding, geoengineering, or any other
weather modification methods by the New Zealand Government. I must therefore refuse your
request in full under section 18(g)(i) of the Act, as the information requested is not held by the
Ministry and I have no reason to believe it is held by another agency. "

Where ever Bill Gates invests, it is important to take note. For example, Rumin8 to accelerate New Zealand commercialisation with AgriZeroNZ funding (Backed by Bill Gates) - which aims at reducing methane coming from cows.
Danish farmers reported "fevers, diarrhea, fertility problems, cows collapsing, and even deaths. The additive, manufactured by dsm-firmenich, contains the active ingredient 3-nitrooxypropanol (3-NOP) and is designed to cut methane production by up to 30 percent."
