Thank you for your email regarding the citizenship ceremonies.
The tentative dates for the upcoming citizenship ceremonies hosted by the
Selwyn District Council are as follows:
29 January 2025
26 February 2025
26 March 2025
23 April 2025
Please note: The Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) will invite you to
attend one of these ceremonies. The Council is not responsible for
inviting applicants to attend the ceremony but only for hosting them.
These dates are subject to change based on the number of approved
citizenship applications. Please contact the DIA directly to confirm when
you can attend the ceremony.
We only host the ceremony and are not involved in coordinating
invitations.
For information regarding the availability of space, please contact the
Department of Internal Affairs directly. They will be able to provide you
with details about the tentative dates scheduled for your ceremony.

As the schedules provided are already in the past and we are now mid-2025, is Selwyn Council able to provide further information on the upcoming schedules?
At the least, information on the frequency of ceremonies per month and plans to increase the frequency or slots, considering there are many awaiting for this at present.
