I would like to request the following information regarding council owned forestry with a commercial benefit or outcome, be that harvesting, carbon credits or other income.
1. The size and location of all forestry owned by the Council that has a commercial purpose or outcome.
2. Whether any of this forestry is scheduled for harvesting in 2026 or 2027. If so, please provide the location(s) and area (in hectares).
3. For any forestry that has been, or is planned to be, harvested in 2025, 2026 or 2027, please provide details of the species intended for replanting and the corresponding locations if any.
4. Whether the Council has any land that is leased or agreed for both forestry and recreational use? if so please provide the locations and type of recreational use.

Below is our response to your official information request dated

Request Response
I would like to request the following Selwyn District Council has a total
information regarding council owned of 106.5 hectares of production
forestry with a commercial benefit or forestry. Size and location of each
outcome, be that harvesting, carbon plantation is in the attached file.
