Please provide briefings, risk assessments, reviews or reports relating to concerns about the emergency department in Palmerson North over the past couple of years, particularly those that have involved bringing in external business consultants.

Thank you for your email of 22 October 2024 asking for the following
information under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):
Please provide briefings, risk assessments, reviews or reports relating to
concerns about the emergency department in Palmerton North over the past
couple of years, particularly those that have involved bringing in
external business consultants.
This email is to let you know that Health NZ needs more time to make a
decision on your request.
The Act requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no
later than 20 working days after the day we received your request.
Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that time limit, and we are
therefore writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our
decision, to 18 December 2024 (20 working days)
Pursuant to section 15A(1)(a) of the Act, this extension is required
because the request is for a large quantity of official information and
necessitates a search through a large quantity of information prior to our
being able to make a decision on your request.
If you have any questions, please contact us
at [1][email address]
If you are not happy with this extension, you have the right to make a
complaint to the Ombudsman. Information about how to do this is available
at www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or by phoning 0800 802 602.

I am just wanting to touch base with you regarding your official
information act request ref: HNZ00069098. As you are aware we wrote to you
on 8 November 2024 advising that an extension was required due to the
large quantity of information requested.
Unfortunately, we did not extend this long enough to provide you the
information. We apologise that this won't be provided to you as expected.
I apologise for the delay in providing our response, this is something we
are working hard to get on top of and I can confirm we are in the process
of finalising the information for your request and will release this to
you without undue delay. Noting the statutory shutdown period of 25
December to 15 January 2025 for OIAs.
We appreciate your patience and understanding in the meantime.
