Dear New Zealand Police,
I am requesting please the total amount of confirmed child (aged 0-18) abductions and also attempted abductions in Hamilton, New Zealand in the past 10 years from the 16th September 2014 till the 16th September 2024. This includes the abductions and attempted abductions by another parent or close family member. Can this information be separated by the total of abductions and the total of attempts and not be given as one total with these two figures also broken down into the total for each year. Can I also request please for the same 10 year period the total amount of arrests, charges laid and amount of people convicted (not the total of convictions as one person may have been given multiple charges and/or convictions) pertaining to these abductions and attempted abductions with the total numbers of arrests, charges and people convicted all separated The purpose of this part of the request is to know how many of the people who were arrested in relation to these cases then had charges bought against them and of these charges how many resulted in conviction. This does not have to be broken down by each year. And lastly I would please like to know, how many children out of the total confirmed abductions requested at the start of this request were located and recovered unharmed. Please let it be mentioned i do understand how busy the staff in all areas of the NZ Police are and I do not mind if there is a delay in receiving this information as long as the delay is reasonable.
Yours faithfully,
DK.
