Funding of Principal Jonathan Ramsay's trip to Spain

Mameroa David made this Official Information request to Richmond Road School

The request was successful.

From: Mameroa David

Dear Richmond Road School,

In the most recent school newsletter we the parent group were informed of Jonathan Ramsay's upcoming trip to Spain, at the end of this term, to attend the International Conference on Thinking (ICOT) from 29 June to 3 July. The trip is being funded from a variety of sources included a grant from our copier company (Toshiba) and the Board of Trustees.

I request exact amounts of the funds provided by The Board of Trustees and by our school copier company (Toshiba).

Naku noa,

Mamaeroa David

Dear Richmond Road School,
I received your reply dated 03 July 2015, stating:

"Please accept the following responses;
1. Toshiba ($1000.00)
2. Richmond Road School (approx $5000)"

I DO NOT accept the approximate amount stated for the school's contribution to Jonathan Ramsay's Trip to Spain. What is the EXACT AMOUNT for Richmond Road School's contribution, an estimate is unacceptable. Failure to provide the EXACT figure will result in a complaint to the Ombudsman.

Yours faithfully,

Mameroa David

Dear Richmond Road School,

You have stated that the full cost, to the school, of Jonathan Ramsay's trip to Spain has not yet been determined. I await the full and complete amount as soon as this becomes available to you. At present it stands in excess of $6000, given Toshiba is the school's copier supplier the monies obtained from their sponsorship, is rightfully included.

Yours faithfully,

Mameroa David

Dear Richmond Road School,

In the interest of saving costs (and trees) on photocopying, I
am very happy to receive information electronically, most toshiba
copiers also have the capacity to scan, and the labour is equal to
photocopying. It will also help to reduce time and money wasted on registered mail.

Electronic information can either be uploaded to this website or sent directly to my email address.

Yours faithfully,

Mameroa David

Dear Richmond Road School,
It is irritating that you refuse to reply electronically given the greater ease and lesser expense. I have been forced to accept your letter, as I do not trust you will provide the information electronically otherwise.

Total Richmond Road School Board contribution to Jonathan Ramsay's Spainish Trip= $6,426.89
With inclusion of Toshiba contribution of $1000.00
Total Contribution $7,426.89

I am still waiting for receipts for payment of this and previous requests. Feel free to email through to my personal email

Yours faithfully,

Mameroa David
