Statistics on requested moves for health reasons
Alex Harris made this Official Information request to Kāinga Ora–Homes and Communities
The request was refused by Kāinga Ora–Homes and Communities.
From: Alex Harris
Dear Housing New Zealand Corporation,
Earlier this week Radio Live reported on a case of a Housing NZ tenant who died due to the poor quality of his state house ("DUNCAN GARNER: Husband dies after pleas to leave cold state house ignored", Radio Live, 9 Jun 2015). According to that report, Housing New Zealand received repeated requests from Counties Manukau DHB and other health professionals to move Mr Tovo. These requests were ignored. I would like to request the following information under the OIA:
* How many requests from DHBs have they received in the last year to move a tenant for health reasons?
* Of those requests, how many have they acted on?
I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about
this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the
fyi.org.nz website.
Yours faithfully,
Alex Harris
