Dear Far North District Council,

I've been requested to provide an alternate email address in relation to
my OIA request, however i don't believe that is a requirement for a
legitimate OIA request.

Could you kindly respond to my original request of some months ago, being:
1) Provide a list of all camping grounds which Council has issued a
camping ground licence in the past 3 years in accordance with the Camping
Ground Regulations 1985; and

Thank you for your official information request to the Far North District
Council (‘Council’) received on 14 June 2024. Your request has been
considered in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government
Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (the ‘LGOIMA’).

 

Your request

You asked for the following:

“1) Provide a list of all camping grounds which Council has issued a
camping ground licence in the past 3 years in accordance with the Camping
Ground Regulations 1985; and

  2) include relevant addresses for each camping ground; and

  3) identify if any camping grounds are operated by Council or subject to
a lease with Council.”

 

Council’s response

Please find attached the list of camping grounds for which Council have
issued a licence in the past 3 years – (along with their respective
addresses). There are 26 total.

Highlighted are the three properties owned by Council and subject to a
lease.
