Request for update on easier payment options for public transport in Auckland

Grant Young made this Official Information request to Auckland Transport

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Grant Young to read a recent response and update the status.

From: Grant Young

Dear Auckland Transport

On 19 June 2023, your organisation indicated by way of a widely report press release that within the following 12 months Auckland Transport would introduce easier payment options across all of Auckland’s buses, trains, and ferries. The press release referred to PayWave, Google Pay and Apple Pay.

Could you confirm the timeframe for introduction these payment options?

Kind regards

G Young

AT has been in touch today to ask for the email address for this request, which I have provided.

I have also checked our logs for this request, and confirmed we had a protocol response from AT's mail server accepting handover of the email message. This means it is likely that an email security or anti-spam system has mistakenly dropped it before delivery to the mailbox.
