BP Moerewa - where to get your Bilingual Petrol

Fluid Industries Ltd made this Official Information request to Human Rights Commission

The request was successful.

From: Fluid Industries Ltd

Dear Human Rights Commission

Being a regular commuter between Whangarei and Kaitaia in the early 2000's I recall a news story in Mana Magazine (and beyond) about the proprietor of BP Moerewa being recognised for their initiative to be the first service station in NZ to have bilingual Maori and English signage, earning the station an award from the Human Rights Commission and contributing to civic pride.
Mana : the Maori news magazine for all New Zealanders, Apr/May 2005; n.63:p.18-19

Can you please provide a copy of the 'award' and any related minutes / resolutions / materials (such as press releases) that relates to that article in Mana Magazine.

Yours faithfully

Fluid Industries Ltd
