Dear William,

Did you have any update on this request? I'm not sure how you can defend parking infringements in Court without this information, so I thought it would have been readily available.

Yours sincerely,

Dear William,

The Bylaw, under each Explanatory note, states "All resolutions made under this clause by the Council will be recorded in a register which is available on the Council’s website". I am requesting said Register.

Dear Cody,

We have forwarded your request to the responsible entity multiple times.
It has been mentioned that they are able to help you if you specifically state which refined subject you are after.
There is no open ticket now because a response has been provided stating that:

"We are not legally required to maintain a Register of Resolutions made under Traffic and Parking Bylaw, but the data is publicly available on the CCC website.
As you have not refined your data any further, we are unable to provide a more accurate starting point to begin a search".

However, if you could please clarify your inquiry, the team would be happy to help you further.

Dear Cody,

Council staff have been unable to locate a specific resolution under the 2017 Traffic and Parking Bylaw for the speed limit on James Hight Drive. Council staff became aware of issues with the resolutions for James Hight Drive in early 2023, when speed limits were being migrated into the National Speed Limit Register (NSLR), and took steps to resolve these issues by including it within the Safe Speed Neighbourhoods Interim Speed Management Plan, which was post-consultation at the time but had not yet been through Hearings Panel nor approved by Council.

The Safe Speed Neighbourhoods Interim Speed Management Plan has since then been approved by Council, including the James Hight Drive 30km/h speed limit, and certified and published by Waka Kotahi on its website. As a result, 30km/h for James Hight Drive has now been entered into the National Speed Limit Register for certification and is expected to be updated in the public facing NSLR within two weeks time.

The speed limit entry was submitted into the NSLR today after receiving this message, and two weeks time (10 working days) is the time that Waka Kotahi has asked us to allow for processing.

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at http://www.ombudsman.parliament.nz/ or freephone 0800 802 602.

Kind regards,

Sean
