NIWA conducts a wide range of research that involves extreme weather to varying degrees. As such, your request as currently framed will be very difficult to meet without substantial collation or research.
Unless the scope of your request can be narrowed, we are refusing this part of your request under s18(f) of the OIA.

I am requesting all documents and peer reviews that relate to extreme weather research conducted by NIWA.

I am also requesting any documents or peer reviews on the NIWA CLI Flo database.

The Minister for Climate Change has informed me that all climate change research he uses has applied the scientific method and is subject to peer review. The Cli Flo database forms the foundation of most climate trend research in NZ and so it is imperative that an independent review has been conducted on this database to ensure its accuracy.

Please provide evidence this has taken place.
