I would like to request correspondence by council workers, including internal correspondence and correspondence with other agencies and contractors, relating to the properties that have had a rapid building assessment following cyclone Gabrielle at Piha and have been given either a yellow, or red placard.

We have discussed your request with our regulatory department who have
explained there is a substantial amount of information within the scope of
your request, including personal information about people who lived in
these properties. It is likely that it would take a substantial amount of
time to collate this information and this would have a negative impact on
the other functions of the department.  We ask that you narrow the scope
of your request either by the number and specific addresses you are
interested in, or by subject matter – what exactly is it you are looking

Dear Joanne Kearney,

Hi, thanks for your reply.

It seemed to me that no work was being done in regards to the Piha residents not being allowed back into their houses. I wanted to see if any work was being done internally and if certain residents were receiving preferential treatment. I have finally heard that the council is allowing people into their houses, so no further information is required.
