I refer to your request of 8 February 2023 for correspondence sent to His
Worship the Mayor.  Your request was referred to the Mayor’s Office for
consideration.  You wrote:

On or around 30 January 2023, Voices For Freedom Whangarei Local Group
emailed councillors. In at least one version of that email, it said:

 

"We have today written a more comprehensive and detailed letter to Mayor
Vince Cocurullo, outlining the expectations we have of our representatives
within their capacities as either Mayor or Councillor, going forward."

 

I would appreciate a copy of that letter to Mayor Vince Cocurullo, and a
copy of any reply Mayor Vince Cocurullo has made to the sender, or to any
of the parties mentioned in that letter.

 

His Worship the Mayor has not received or responded to any correspondence
from representatives from the Voices for Freedom.  However, his office did
receive the attached correspondence forwarded on by Councillor Yovich that
that Councillor received from the Voices for Freedom.

I hope this information is of some assistance in responding to your
request. If you believe we have not responded appropriately to your
request, you have the right by way of complaint, under section 27(3) of
the Act, to apply to the Ombudsman to seek an investigation and review of
the decision.
