GOHS made this Official Information request to University of Otago

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for GOHS to read recent responses and update the status.

From: GOHS

Dear University of Otago,

I would like to know the number of international applicants and successful international applicants who got into MBChB and BDS via HSFY pathway in 2018-2022.

May I also know the UCAT threshold for BDS and MBchB for 2018-2022?

Yours faithfully,

Dear UoO - Official Information Act,

May I also request for the highest unsuccessful academic score for entry via the HSFY international category.

Can I also confirm that the data given to me do not include students, if any, who have been given a pre conditional offer to enter into MBChb or BDS?

Yours sincerely,

GOHS

Kia ora GOHS, we refer to your information request dated 6 April 2023 made under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). You have requested:

"the highest unsuccessful academic score for entry via the HSFY international category"

and confirmation "that the data given to me [response dated 30 March 2023] do not include students, if any, who have been given a pre conditional offer to enter into MBChb or BDS?"

The Act requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no later than 20 working days after the date your request was received. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that time limit. We are therefore writing to notify you, pursuant to section 15A of the Act, of an extension of the time to make our decision in respect of your request, by a further three working days - to 12 May 2023. However, we will endeavour to provide the information sooner if possible.

This extension is necessary to allow for consultations to make a decision on your request. We note that a key member of staff who holds some of the information you have requested has been away from the office due to illness.

We are currently working on your response and thank you for your patience.

If you are not satisfied with our extension of time, you have the right to make a complaint to the Ombudsman under section 28(3) of the Act. However, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss any concerns with you first.

Ngā mihi
Jenny
