Dear University of Otago,
I am requesting the entry threshold requirements for BDS (dentistry) from Health Science First Year programme for the year 2024.
Please include:
- The threshold for all 5 sections of the UCAT, specifying the threshold for each section of UCAT in terms of percentile and score
- The 7 paper average minimum and median percentage for students who got these offers via HSFY (not including the subcategories)
- The minimum and maximum average score of students who were accepted into BDS for the year 2023 via HSFY

I refer to your request for information dated 7 July 2023. Further to our email to you of 7 August 2023 with our response to your Official Information Act request, it has come to my attention that some of the data we provided to you was incorrect or omitted regarding the minimum and maximum average academic scores to receive an offer to the 2023 BDS programme via the HSFY General category.
To clarify, the minimum average academic score to receive an offer was 85.14, not 87.00. The median average academic score to receive an offer was 90.86. The maximum average academic score to receive an offer was 98.43.
