Information Request – Appliances
I refer to your email reply to our information response dated 27 February 2023. In that reply you
clarified an aspect of an existing request, and you also made a new request.
In accordance with the provisions of the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA), Fire and Emergency
New Zealand response to your new requests is below.
Would you please also supply any information regarding the new “Type 3 Scania Appliances”
being built by EmergencyOne and Angloco UK, around the trial locations and dates these will
enter service.
The trial locations for these appliances are Auckland City Station, Christchurch City Station,
Hamilton Station and Napier Station. These appliances are anticipated to be delivered to New
Zealand (subject to shipping availability) in March/ April 2023.
Would you also supply information regarding the Fire and Emergency NZ “MAN” appliances that
have been built by Angloco and SEM Australia which are “trialling” in New Zealand. Please
provide the same information as the scania request above.
There is currently an active procurement process underway for these appliances. As such trial
locations or dates have not been determined.
